Parts of the town
Bambergen
is situated 5 km northward from Überlingen among rolling hills and idyllic woods. Bambergen offers various circular walks and points of view to the keen hiker. A real attraction is the farm Reuthemühle, with its over 100 animal species it is unique in Germany.
Bonndorf
is situated at the western border of the Linzgau. Three inns offer much choice to the visitor. Favourite destinations to the hiker are the Haldenhof with a splendid view of the lake and the Alps, the point of view Kaien, the mighty larch Hildegard Lärche or the ruin Nieder-Hohenfels. Bonndorf is also known for its club fetes.
Deisendorf
is surrounded by the lovely hills of the lower Linzgau situated 3 km away from Überlingen. Without through traffic the village has preserved its rural character. The village is the centre of a vast network of trails between Überlingen and Salem. An inn invites you to stop off. Families with children are fond of the grill hut and the sports field.
Hödingen
is situated above the steep bank of Lake Constance. The recently renovated pilgrims church is worth seeing. The village is known for its Besenwirtschaften these are public bars selling their own wine and products, signalled by a broom hanging outside the door, open in autumn. Another attraction is the Hödinger Dorftheater. Enjoy a unique view of the Lake Constance and the Alps from the Hödinger Berg. Very interesting are the Hödinger Tobel a narrow and rugged gorge in the woods and the Gletschermühle a natural monument caused by a glacier of the Ice Age.
Lippertsreute
is charming. You can see the tower of the church from a far distance. There are splendid farms and picturesque half-timbered houses. Lippertsreute received the gold medal in the federal competition Unser Dorf soll schöner werden. The well-known place of pilgrimage Maria im Stein is worth seeing. There are many well-built trails and cycle tracks also in direction Frickingen and the valley of Salem.
Nesselwangen
is situated 7 km westward from Überlingen. Woods, meadows and fields characterize the scenery, many walks cross around Nesselwangen. Club events like carnival parties, village theatre and the garden party are very popular. Nesselwangen offers guesthouses, holiday flats and farm holidays.
Nußdorf
is a lakeside suburb eastward of Überlingen. An own landing stage, a beautiful natural bathing beach and cultural events in the village hall lend a lot of variety.
